Aahar 2011  -  An Overview

Aahar 2011 is the leading exhibitions for food, food processing, hotel and restaurant equipment and supplies in Asia, wherein players from these sectors showcase their growth and progress. The fair offers a reliable and time tested forum for B2B transactions, Seminars and Conferences, exploration of joint venture and technological up-gradation and sourcing opportunities. The 26th Aahar – International food and Hospitality Fair was held from 10 – 14 March at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry.

Segmented into Food & Hospitality sectors, over 500 companies from the food processing industry alone showcased current trends and innovations through modern technology.

Participation by Tinplate Promotion Council (TPC)

In line with its objective of promoting per capita consumption of tinplate in India, TPC had participated Aahar 2011. A variety of cans especially for Processed Foods were displayed.

TCIL Executives & an executive from J.J. Enterprises (TPC Member) was present in the TPC stall and interacted with the visitors. The footfall comprised of processed food unit owners & the consumers.

In order to understand the unit owners and consumers views on tin packaging, TPC conducted a unit owner survey.
